Places To Go in Cambridge

Cambridge is a historic university city in East Anglia. Where is that?

As a rule, Cambridge is generally liberal and most people are easy-going so it's a fairly good place to go out and enjoy yourself. You may get the odd "funny look" or encounter one or two idiots, but things seem to be good.

Some of our members venture out dressed to the local shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs from time-to-time (and discuss it on the tgcamb Yahoo group forum). This page provides some guidance about places to go in Cambridge, based on our members' personal experiences.

NOTE: Remember that this guidance is based on personal experience on particular days: it's always possible you'll have a different experience when you go out. If you have a good or a bad experience, please let us know so we can update this page. If you ever feel threatened, the management of the venue should help you, and calling the police should result in fast assistance (such as if you're leaving a club and are worried about being assaulted outside).

Transport

	Hail a Cab!	The local taxis are a friendly bunch who've seen it all
	Panther Taxis	To pre-arrange a cab, Panther are reliable and friendly.

	The Junction	Last Saturday of Month: Dot Cotton

Eating Out

	The Café Project	This Cafe is a space for encounters, meetings and discovery.
	Burleigh Arms	Good quality food and a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff
	Box Tree	Two failed attempts to get in and the dining club have given up... though reports at other times are more positive.
	Foot Lights	Quiet restaurant atmosphere with friendly waiter service.

	Kelsie Kerrige	This is the best priced and most down-to-earth gym in town, but unfortunately it is in a very poor location.

	TK MAX	They do have some nice bits, but the shop is very poorly laid out. Always check the size labels carefully.
